To permit an adequate interval before the final at 16.30, the order in which the last two matches of each league will be played may be reversed, depending on the previous results.

The morning after the Moseley match Hawks were back in action at Goldenacre.
In their pool they beat Edinburgh Accies drew 12-12 with the Royal Scots and lost 7-12 to pool winners Boroughmuir

From Boroughmuir website

Hawks had to come from behind to draw 12-12 with the Royal Scots as ’Muir took a well deserved rest, the result meaning that a draw or win would put Boroughmuir into the final for the umpteenth year running. The game began in a midfield battle with neither side able to effectively penetrate the other’s defence. That was until Ben Fisher took it upon himself to bulldoze a hole in the middle of the Hawks defence. After a penalty was kicked to touch, McCallum rose highest to take and Martyn combined with Traynor infield to set up Fisher, who had no doubt that he was battering through the opposition to score by the posts. Cook converted and things were looking ever on the up.

Hawks weren’t going to lie down though (it would be nice if once they gave away an easy win) and they spent much of the rest of the half attacking the ’Muir line though they couldn’t find a way through and the interval came with the Edinburgh side still on top. And the defence held strong until halfway through the second period when Hawks finally pulled themselves level. A simple move in the middle of the park left them with a one-on-one, and the greater pace of the Hawks player saw him in under the posts for a try which Michael Adamson converted.

Whilst the tied scores would have put ’Muir through, that would have been far too close for comfort, so Malcolm Clapperton took it upon himself to put Boroughmuir back in front. The centre, who will be like a new signing given how little he played last season, took a wonderful pass from Hadden and eased outside his opposite number, crossing the line with two defenders clinging onto him (and he maintains that he did indeed ground the ball legally).
