Glasgow Hawks 34-5 Melrose
A sparkling four-try performance by Glasgow Hawks handed Melrose their second defeat in two weeks to further dim their title hopes.
Dominating possession in the first half, Hawks led 23-5 at the break.
Centre Tom Philip grabbed the first two tries and, with Cameron Little adding one conversion to his early penalty, Hawks were 15-0 ahead after 23 minutes.
Melrose hit back with a smooth try by Bruce Ruthven.
But Hawks got back on the attack and a clever pass by Little sent in Ricky Munday before Little closed the half with a penalty.
Melrose got nothing from their early domination of the second half.
Good work by Hawks half-backs Kenny Sinclair and Steven Duffy created a try for the latter and two late penalties by Little completed Rose's misery.
No team list has been added yet.
