Dear Supporter,
Last week’s game against East Kilbride was hard to take with the last kick of the game sealing our fate. This week we travel down the coast to Troon to play Marr in our return league match with a 2pm KO.
We now sit 5th in the league with 3 competitive games left in the season so it would be a real boost to come away from Troon with some points and the boys would really appreciate your support.
The team this week is significantly different this week with a few changes in both the pack and back line. In comes Ben Wilkinson, Dougie Horne, Jamie Williamson, Simon Young and Jonny Taylor to the backs and the forwards welcome Matteo Giovanazzi, Adam Taylor, and Graeme Simpson so a real challenge and indeed an opportunity for those boys to prove that Accies have strength in depth.
This evening there will be a special Club night with a flavour of Burns and an open mike for the true spirit of the Bard to be celebrated. Every good Burns night needs haggis pakora and haggis curry supplied by Punjabi Fusion Restaurant. Kick off 7pm., please come and support it and all are welcome.
Due to the bar refurbishment during February we will be arranging a lunch upstairs for the home game against Allan Glens on 18th Feb. So please mark this in your diary and come and join us. After the works are complete we are trying to arrange a friendly match to celebrate the completion which will be largely sponsored by the Gordon MacKay Trust and this will be before the end of the season. More news to follow.
The forecast for today is frosty but hopefully there will be a frost free pitch down at the coast
