U20 Final Score. Scotland 3 England 59

Scotland under-20 were given a harsh lesson in the demands of international rugby tonight at Firhill losing out to England under-20, 59-3.
The visitors touched down on nine different occasions with flying winger, Marland Yarde, notching up a hat-trick in the first 20 minutes.
Scotland on the other hand only managed one penalty scored from the boot of Edinburgh Rugby stand-off Harry Leonard.
 
The Scots will now need to refocus in training and work hard ahead of the challenge Wales will pose next Friday at Colwyn Bay.
Head coach, Peter Wright, said: “Matches like this are a real learning curve for the players coming in at this level.
“Tonight we were playing against players who play at the highest and most physical level of professional rugby, so this was always going to be a tough challenge.
“However, there were players in our side who went out and performed for 80 minutes and showed us their worth in this age-group, namely Jamie Farndale, Adam Sinclair and Jonny Gray. Also Tommy Allan showed some promising skill at times throughout the match.
“For the coaches though it was Jonny Gray who we were really impressed by.He worked hard all match and let’s remember he is still only 17.”
Run of play:
The Scots started with promise keeping hold of possession and pressuring the visitors. This was most noticeable when lock, Adam Sinclair smashed the receiver at the kick-off.
Unfortunately this was the beginning of the end thoughts moments after the restart Yarde had crossed the line and George Ford had converted and within another eight minutes Yarde had touched down two more times getting his hat-trick and number 8 Jack Clifford had put his name on the scoreboard and Ford had added another conversion. 3-24
With just over five minutes remaining England continued their onslaught at the Scotland line and having won a scrum metres out they were awarded a penalty try for Will Bordill breaking off the scrum and slapping the ball down. Ford converted. 3-31

The English continued to dominate in the second-half and added another four tries onto the scoreboard from Clifford, Anthony Watson and winger Charlie Walker who touched down twice. These were bolstered with four conversions from stand-off Ford, which earned him the RBS man-of-the-match award. 3-59
