Director of Rugby Peter Wright has decided to leave Glasgow Hawks at the end of the season. Peter who has been Director of Rugby at Hawks for the last 4 seasons feels it is time to move on and look for a new challenge. Peter has said “it was a very difficult decision for me but I felt it was time both for myself and Glasgow Hawks that I move on” adding “I have had a wonderful time during the last 4 years at Hawks and it has been a huge honor for me to coach such a great club and players”

Alasdair Graham, Chairman of Glasgow Hawks said "Peter spent a total of 7 years has Head Coach and then Director of Rugby with Hawks during which time he built a side that went on to win three consecutive championships and the Scottish Cup. On his return after his first spell of three years he found that many of the side had gone on to play professional rugby and that Fergus Thomson and Ruaridh Jackson became Scottish Internationalists. He rebuilt the side and although the honours dried up players continued to benefit from his coaching before going on to be professionals. The recently capped Duncan Weir is the latest ex Hawks player to play for his country. 12 players were selected for the Scottish Club international side and 7 represented Scotland in the Sevens.
The Club wish to thank Peter for his commitment and dedication and wish him every success for the future"
