Dear Supporter,
 
Here we are at the end of the league season lying 4th and visiting Troon on Saturday to play Marr, KO 3pm. As mentioned in my earlier newsletter our result won’t alter our place but it may well have an influence on who wins the title.  We have one aim this Saturday and that is to play our best rugby and give Marr a really good test, the result will then take care of itself.
 
The team this week sees a couple of absentees but is fundamentally sound and well balanced. In the backs we have Stuart Seaton on the wing for Dougie Horne and Ben Semple and Stephen Fyfe remain at half backs to move the ball. In the forwards Max Antliff comes in from the 2nds at hooker with Matt Franklin at prop. Elliott McLaren slips back to wing forward which should bring an interesting dynamic to the back row. Pete Meiklen makes a welcome return at second row after a head injury.
 
The new bar will be complete within the next week or so and we are organising a show game in memory of Gordon Mackay, whose name will be associated with the refurbished facility. The date has been set for Saturday 31st March so please put it in your diary.  There will be a game involving old friends of Gordon, another game with West’s Golden Oldies, some hockey hopefully and mini rugby.  A fun day all round with a massive party in the evening.
