GHK v Bishopton Match Preview
GHK host Bishopton for the first time in National league rugby. After cup rugby brought a break to the league action, top plays bottom at Anniesland, as the hunt for championship and relegation avoidance continues. Both teams must win for contrasting reasons, with the hosts the overwhelming favourites to do so.
Bishopton have struggled this season having been promoted from 3rd place in the B division. They lie bottom with a solitary win at Paisley (where GHK did not have it all their own way it has to be said), behind Hillhead on points difference. However, in their last game they lost by just 12 points to 4th place Cumbernauld, a marked improvement on their 100 point destruction by league title chasing Marr. The visitors are definitely improving with every game and GHK will have to be weary of not slipping up.
GHK's home record is fantastic. Unbeaten for over a year at Anniesland, they go into the game with an untarnished record this season. This is the end of the first half of the league season and the hosts will hope for another bonus point win to maintain their position at the top of the ladder.
With a number of injuries and unavailabilities, the squad has yet to be finalised.
The game kicks off at 2pm at Old Anniesland.
A big reminder that following the game on Saturday, GHK proudly presents its Ceilidh and Curry night. It all kicks off at 730pm, tickets are £10. After the success of the cocktail party, it is sure to be a cracking night. All are welcome.
Why not make a day of it too and watch Scotland against Argentina at 530pm in the bar?
