Miller on scoresheet in Tokyo

Scotland 7s have won the inaugural Tokyo 7s Shield ahead of their home tournament, the first Emirates Airline Glasgow 7s, at Scotstoun Stadium next month (Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 May).
The Scots were unable to pursue the higher seeded Bowl trophy after losing out to France, in their opening game of day two, 22-19, despite Sean Kennedy showing his ever increasing threat with two tries against their European counterparts. Mark Robertson also touched down in the match.
However, match two and the team instilled a new lease of life into their HSBC Sevens World Series campaign with wins over Russia, 21-19, and Kenya, 26-12, which ultimately won them their first piece of silverware in recent weeks.

Against Russia James Fleming added two tries to his tally which now sits at 37, in this season alone. He also scored one in the final. Michael Fedo also scored against Russia and Colin Gregor added all three conversions.
Finally, against Kenya it was a forwards affair with Mark Cairns, Ross Miller and Michael Fedo all joining Fleming on the score sheet. Gregor added the extras three out of four times.
Scotland 7s will now travel back home to prepare for their home leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series. Tickets for the event are on sale now starting at ?15 for adults.
Scotland are hosting the penultimate leg of the circuit at The Emirates Airline Glasgow 7s, which will take place at Scotstoun Stadium for the first time on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 May.
