Edinburgh gain from ANNIESLAND pedigree

Robert McAlpine, the Scottish Rugby Elite Development player who is attached to Glasgow Warriors, will move to Edinburgh Rugby next season.
Rober will join Edinburgh on a two-year contract.

McAlpine has played for Scotland's under-17 and under-18 teams as well as Glasgow's under-16 and under-17. The under-16 team won the district championship in 2008, and the same year he played for Scotland under-17 in Millfield School’s annual international festival. The following year he was in the national squad who competed in the under-18 Five Nations Festival in Italy. He was Glasgow Academy's head boy in 2008/09 and is an AIS-supported member of Scottish Rugby's Academy and in 2010 was selected for the IRB JWC in Argentina where he earned three caps.
He is now a vital part of the 2011 Scotland under-20 6 Nations Championship squad.
