Discover MiFitness is running Weightlifting classes for novices to intermediate lifters from Saturday 19th May. Classes will consist of basic lifting technique on both Olympic lifts and accessory exercises. The first class will focus on developing the foundation of Olympic lifts, the Squat, and also developing basic technique of the Clean.
These classes will run on Saturday mornings at 9am and 10am. These sessions can be the foundations for a great preseason. 90% of elite athletes will utilise some form of Olympic lifting in their training programmes. This can range from Olympic distance runners like Mo Farah, triathletes such as the Brownlee brothers or professional rugby and football players.
All experience levels can attend and no experience is necessary. Beginners will train together to get the fundamentals of lifting and intermediates will train to improve technical aspects of their lifts, introducing key accessory exercises to improve their current technique.
Please email [email protected] if you are keen to come along. We will look to run groups of 6-8 people in each session so get in early to get a place. Reduced group sizes are to allow more coaching and attention to each individual.
Looking forward to hearing from you
