High School of Glasgow haveing beaten Earlston H.S. will now meat Stewarts/Melville in the next round of the Scottish Schools Cup

SCHOOLS CUP WIDE OPEN FOR NEW CHAMPIONS

The third round of the Bell Lawrie Scottish Schools Cup conjured up some of the most surprising results in the competition to date and has left the door wide open for new successors to the title after the exit of reigning champions Dollar Academy.

There are four games still to be played in round three. Today, Belmont House take on Merchiston Castle School whilst North Berwick High play hosts to Strathallan School. Bell Baxter take on Edinburgh Academy and Royal High play Hillhead/Jordanhill tomorrow.

In the fourth round, all eyes will be on last year’s finalists High School of Dundee as they travel to either Belmont House or Merchiston Castle in a bid to make it third time lucky having been beaten by Dollar on the last two visits to Murrayfield.

Galashiels Academy, who halted the three-year domination of Dollar, find themselves drawn at home to Bell Baxter High School or Edinburgh Academy.
The draw for the fourth round of the Bell Lawrie Scottish Schools Cup is:
George Watson's College v Fettes College
Belmont House or Merchiston Castle School v High School of Dundee
Hutchesons' Grammar School v Trinity Academy
Galashiels Academy v Bell Baxter HS or Edinburgh Academy
Loretto School v Royal High or Hillhead/Jordanhill Schools
Peebles High School v North Berwick High or Strathallan School
Stewart's Melville College v High School of Glasgow
Robert Gordon's College v George Heriot’s School
All games are scheduled to be played on or before Saturday 26 November.
