Builders build up for Yooni 7s

Builders Eye Up the Double at Braidholm

The Builders return this weekend to Braidholm for the Glasgow University Sevens on Sunday, a week after winning the GHA sevens at the same venue. Club Captain Louis Kinsey commented, 'Its a fabulous opportunity for us to return to Braidholm off the back of a good run of form and try to do the double. We're at our mid way point in our preparations for rugby rocks so we're looking to go out and play some exiting rugby.'

The Builders will be without a few familiar faces with pro sevens player Peter Jericevich and Builders stalwart Scott Weir among a number of squad members unavailable for selection due to personal reasons. Coupled with the loss of those two and GHA Captain Niall Cassie, a number of players are unavailable due to injury including South African centre Dean Kelbrick. Undeterred by the Builders unavailable list coach Noble commented, 'This weekend is a fantastic opportunity to dish out a number of new caps to players like Robbie Hair and Andrew Gillman who impressed us at Oban and Braidholm respectively.' Paddy Robinson, one of Hawks star young players also comes into Nobles side for the weekend and is joined by the infamous Kerr Gossman, returned from international duty and ready to pair up with his equally talented brother Craig in what can only be described as a formidable partnership. The Builders will be led out by a solid front three of Louis Kinsey (c), Gavin MacDonald (Mr Scotland 2010) and GHA's player of the season, Alan Auld with Hawks rapier Sean Murray assuming his familiar sevens role of scrum half.
