Not the X Factor more the Wells Factor

Whilst Thom Evans was battling the elements at Scotstoun at the weekend brother and former Hawk Max now at last jets off to join Scottish team in Australia
Both brothers have been heavily influenced by Margot Wells including the famous speed ball sessions that so helped husband Alan to Olympic glory back in 1980
It is curious to think that some of these very sessions were used at Scotstoun during the 50s and 60s when the former twice winner of the Powderhall Sprint Willie McFarlane coached the Victoria Park sprinters using the principles learned in the "professional schools" of Scottish pedestrianism that helped Alan to become the one of the very few Scots to win Olympic Gold
Now it is the time for both Thom and Max to benefit from the same methods
