Sadly Dougie passed away this morning after a short illness at the age of 59. He came from Hillhead primary to High school where he was prominent in the corps and played rugby as a redoubtable hooker.
Much of his adult life was spent aiding the school and rugby club in many capacities. He was House convenor for 15 years;GHK President 2007-08 GHK committee for 20 years and GHSC President in 2010/11.
Taken together it is clear to see the commitment he gave to Old Anniesland and the players who use it.
