Although not particularly noted for Tennis the Annieslands have had several moments of note at Wimbledon over the years

Hawks Hon President Brian Simmer's grandmother Charlotte Cooper won the Womens Singles title on five occasions the last being the year of the first London Olympics 1908

Louis Greig who captained Glasgow Accies, played for Scotland 17 times including the 6-0 win over the Springboks at Hampden in 1906 and also toured with the British Isles team to South Africa.
In 1926 he played in the Mens Doubles partnering the future King George V1 sadly they lost in the first round
It is sometimes said that it should have been Greig who featured in the film The Kings Speech

Glasgow High's Colin Baxter who was the Scottish Champion played at SW19 as both a Junior and as a Senior between 1953 and 1963

Stu Low's father Ronnie who is a regular at Hawks matches also played at Wimbledon in the early 1960s
