Camp is fitting send off
5 years ago Hawks Development Manager Grant Talbot set up our week long rugby camp, the first one had 40 children, this week has been our 5th camp with 100 children attending and it is quite fitting that today should see the end of the camp and also the end of Talbot’s 5 years with Hawks.
At the conclusion of the Hawks summer camp this afternoon, it will see the departure of our Club Development Manager Grant Talbot, after 5 years with Hawks Grant will be moving on at the end of the camp to seek fresh challenges
Finishing on a high note Grant said
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hawks, When I started 5 years ago the only work we did was with the 3 private schools, now as I leave the club will be working with 15 local primary schools and 3 secondary schools, 2 of which Drumchapel and St Thomas Aquinas both had teams in different festivals last season. I have learned a lot from the various different coaches at Hawks and would like to thank them all for their help in the community work. The camps at Hawks have been a huge success with boys from all over Glasgow attending the camps, it shows the success of it when we have 100 boys here taking in part in rugby for the week.
There are far too many people to mention that have helped me out during my time at Hawks, so I would just like to thank everyone that has contributed to the community programme over the last 5 seasons and wish The Hawks community team all the best for the future."
Hawks would like to place on record their thanks to Grant for all his efforts over these five seasons and wish him well in his future career
