Hawks Team News for Saturday
After two impressive pre season results against Belfast Harlequins and Aberdeen Grammar Hawks team for the game on Saturday against Watsonians has been announced.
It is by and large the same side that started the game against Aberdeen.
Mike Adamson has returned to the Club from London Scottish and plays full back. New recruits Kirk James-Williams from Hillhead/Jordanhill and Tony Herron from GHK have both impressed in the early fixtures and they play on the wings. Andy Fleming who has joined from GHK and Tom Preece form an attacking centre partnership. Andy White who has returned after a year out of rugby plays stand off and Hadden McPherson from Hillhead/Jordanhill but who played his junior rugby at Hawks is the other half back.
The front row of Stephen Finlay, Jack McFarlane and John Lohoar were regulars last season as was Andy Kirkland. Andy’s second row partner is Ruaridh Wilson who played for Heriots against Hawks last season.
The back row of Grant Strang, George Oomman and Ross Miller are familiar to Hawks supporters.
On the replacement bench hooker Calum Kerr has returned to the Club from Dundee High School FP and the others are all long serving Hawks players namely, prop Paul Henderson, second row Rory McKay and threequarters Jono Wright and Mark Taylor.
Kick off is at 3pm
