Glasgow Hawks Appointments

The Board of Glasgow Hawks is pleased to announce that Chas Afuakwah has accepted an invitation to take up the post of Vice President of the Club.
Chas has been associated with Old and New Anniesland for many years. He was educated at Glasgow High School but played for Glasgow Accies until 1997 when the Club merged with GHK to form Glasgow Hawks. He played in the Hawks cup winning side at Murrayfield in 1998. Always a dominant force at the lineout he played for the Glasgow District in the first years of professionalism before concentrating on his career as a dentist. Since retiring from playing he has spent time coaching Glasgow Accies and has been on the Hawks Management Board for 6 months.
The Board have also appointed Kenny Hamilton as Director of Rugby with special responsibility for improving the standard of rugby across the Annieslands. Kenny has been associated with Old Anniesland since schooldays. He played for Glasgow High School, Glasgow High School FP and GHK. Most recently he was Head Coach of GHK RFC. From 2005 to 2008 he was Chairman of Glasgow Hawks RFC Limited
