HAWKS 50 WEST 17

A brief match report from Burnbrae on Saturday as the Major is on leave and has been spotted in the Cairngorm area.

We travelled to Burnbrae on Saturday, well prepared and ready for another fiesty derby against the Ham and Eggers. In the end, we played a "friendly", at West's behest.


The league points secured, the friendly began. Hawks played with great control throughout the game and played some excellent running rugby. Hawks scored 8 tries in the 50-17 win, the highlight of which a 60 metre burst up the touchline to secure his hat-trick from hooker, Patrick Mulholland. West scored 3 tries in reply.

A strong display which sets the youngsters up for the next League match at home to Dumfries on Saturday.

The Major will return next week well rested and ready to serve up his more thorough match report.
