On Saturday, Hawks Under 18 s were hosted by our "friends across the fence" for our fixture against Dumfries. We had a wonderful day despite a narrow defeat to our visitors. We were given a warm welcome and the boys were given the privilege of playing on the main pitch, a fantastic surface and a pitch which has been graced by some of the greats of Scottish rugby. This was an unexpected treat and an experience which the boys will not forget.
A special thanks to Mark Walker for organising the day- amazing what positives can come of a brief chat between 2 dads at their sons' rugby match!(sorry, James and Harry but the chat was better than the rugby that day!)
The hospitality and friendliness of all at New Anniesland made for a great day and some of the parents and players stayed on enjoying the hospitality well into the evening.
