Fund Raising Dinner for Glasgow Wheelchair Rugby Club
Venue - Cambuslang Rugby Club, Saturday, 16 February at 7.30pm
Many of you will remember Ciaran Pryce who while at school suffered a severe rugby injury in 2007, leaving his legs paralysed and with only
limited use of his arms.
I
Ciaran will be twenty-one next year and is now involved in wheelchair rugby. A team has been set up in Scotland in the last year (Glasgow
Wheelchair Rugby Club - Caledonian Crushers) and has team members from
Glasgow and all over Scotland. The sport has had a huge influence on
the rehabilitation of the players and improves confidence, motivation
and fitness.
Frances Pryce, Ciaran’s mother, would like to help raise funds for the on-going costs of running the team and is organising a fund raising
dinner to invite people to help support the team and encourage other
wheelchair users to participate in sport.
John Beattie will be MC at the event held in Cambuslang Rugby Club, Langlea Road, Cambuslang, G72 8HG on Saturday, 16 February 2013.
Players , ex-players, club members, wives and partners are welcome. The
cost will be £30 per head. Perhaps you would consider organising a
table of 10 for £300 or joining others at a table. Dress, smart/lounge
suits.
We would be delighted to have your support for this very worthwhile event and bookings can be made through Ciaran’s mother, Frances Pryce
[email protected] or Ivor
Menzies [email protected]
