Barnes in Scotland 20s Squad

Two weeks today Scotland under-20 will begin their RBS 6 Nations campaign in Plymouth against England (Friday 1 February), but before that they will meet once more to fine-tune their plan-of-attack.

Head coach Sean Lineen has called-in 30 players for the team’s final camp, which will run from Monday (21 January) until Thursday (24 January) next week and will include training matches against Edinburgh University and the Scotland Club International squad.
Lineen said: “This is pretty much the 6 Nations squad now, we have an outstanding bunch of players and the camp will be geared towards playing England in Plymouth.

“We know England will be a real challenge, but there is a lot of competition for places in this side, so we will make sure everyone understands what is needed and work on the toughness we can bring to our matches.

“Therefore, next week will be an intense camp with hit-outs against Edinburgh University and the Club International side.

“I’ve been hugely impressed with the attitude of the players so far and next week we will not allow the weather to deter us.”
