Top of the Table clash

This weekend’s BT Premiership Division One action sees a top of the table clash between leaders Glasgow Hawks and Heriot’s.

Both sides are sitting on 75 points in the race to the title but the Glaswegian outfit have three games in hand, putting pressure on Heriot’s. Both sides are still in contention to finish top and they will be gunning for some silverware having both been knocked out of the BT Cup earlier this month.

The last time the two sides met, Heriot’s took the spoils 27-22 away from home at Old Anniesland.

Boroughmuir are currently sitting just below Heriot’s and they are also still in with a chance of silverware in the league but unlike the two sides above them they are still in the cup. They face mid-table side Hawick at Meggetland on Saturday.

Also across Premier One this weekend, GHA host Currie at Braidholm, Ayr travel to the Greenyards to face Melrose, Watsonians head north to Rubislaw to play Aberdeen GSFP and Biggar welcome Gala to Hartreemill.

Heriots v Glasgow Hawks
Saturday, 26th March 2005 at Goldenacre

Well I have to be honest Hawks have struggled lately. Lucky to win the Glasgow derby and then dumped by Currie in the cup, have the boys gone ski-ing? There are plenty of games to win the league, but thiw is unlikely to be one of them. I think they'll choke and Heriot's will turn on the screws.

Previous result - Hawks 22 - Heriots 27

Prediction: Tight game but Heriots will take 5 points.
