GHK NEWS

Excitement is building at Old Anniesland as cup fever approaches once more. This Saturday 3rd December an altogether bigger challenge than 2nd round victims Newton Stewart sees Premier 2 high fliers Edinburgh Accies visit. One of the best clubs in Scotland could not be a harder task for National 5 GHK, but training has been buzzing this week and everyone should make a huge attempt to be present in order to make the squad for this huge match.

Supporters should make their plans now for an earlier than usual start with a 130pm kick off at Old Anniesland and all are welcome. The earlier start is in case GHK have not yet seen off their visitors and a draw would result in some extra time to complete the shock!!!!

If you are not going to watch the Hawks face Dunbar, then please get down to support GHK in what is bound to be one of the most entertaining matches at Old Anniesland this season with both teams having the reputation for playing 15man running rugby

2nd XV Update

The 2nd XV have to haul themselves out of bed a bit earlier than usual this week as league action resumes away to Newton Stewart. The bus departs Old Anniesland at 10.30am and players are asked to be make sure they are there on time i.e. not allowing repeat of the debacle at Marr. This is a tough first game after the Autumn Test break, but getting back to winning ways will keep us well up in the promotion pack. Best wishes to the 1st XV: whoever is sober enough will be on the 'phone during the return trip to find out the score
