The triumph at Irvine has been covered already but at the Emirates Neil Gourley took Gold in the Scottish Indoor under 20 1500 metres
Faither Gourlay may not be noted for his athleticism but the gene pool is there somewhere --it can skip a generation
Also mentioned in the Scottish Athletics Federation release was Victoria Park coach Colin Sinclair who assisted the Hawks under 18s with their pre season fitness programme
Fridays match report noted that Jack Macfarlane could have been mistaken for a winger but then I recalled he has athletics in his background as of course does his fellow front row traveller Chris Barnes
You sense Glasgow 2014 is gathering pace and the pace will only continue to gather
