Hi all
Just a little update on the cycle....
Briggsy Cycle for Hodge Update - 3 weeks to go.
Only 3 weeks until we assault this challenge! After a gruelling 70 mile training session yesterday with a strong head wind all the way to Stirling and, due to lost time, a pitch black cycle from Balfron to Milngavie (not advisable!!!) the preparation for the cycle is almost complete. The route has also been finalised so if anyone is around the country, come say hi! All times are very approximate and will obviously depends on weather/road conditions, fatigue, really sore legs and any bike repairs!!!
Day 1 Sunday 31st March: Aberdeen Grammar 7am, Dundee HSFP 2pm, Morgan 210pm, Perthshire 430pm, Howe of Fife 630pm
125 miles, 3400ft climbed
Day 2 Monday 1st April: Howe of Fife 8am, Kirkcaldy, 930am, Dunfermline 1045am, Stirling 1245pm, Falkirk 2pm, Currie 445pm

Day 4 Weds 3rd April: Kelso 8am, Jed 9am, Hawick/Hawick YM 1015am, Selkirk 12pm, Melrose 1pm, Gala 130pm, Peebles 330pm, Biggar 530pm
85 miles, 2650ft climbed
Day 5 Thurs 4th April: Biggar 7am, Dumfries 1130am, Ayr 530pm
110miles, 3500ft climbed
Day 6 Fri 5th April: Ayr 9am, Ardrossan 11am, Greenock 2pm, Whitecraigs 445pm
75miles, 1500ft climbed
Day 7 Sat 6th April: Whitecraigs 10am, Cartha 1030am, GHA 11am, Hamilton 1230pm, Dalziel 115pm, West 345pm, Hillhead 415pm, Hawks, 430pm
58miles, 1300 ft climbed
Overall this is over 630miles (assuming we don't get lost!) and we climb over 17000ft (over 5km) which is almost 70% of the way up Everest!
Anyway thanks to the huge support we have received so far and a huge thank you to everyone who has already donated. If you haven't donated yet but would like to support us in raising funds for the Craig Hodgkinson Trust you can at http://lastinghope.bhf.org.uk/briggsycycle.
Cheers
