On Monday Angus Neilson captained Scotland U16's in their opening game of the Wellington international Rugby Festival. Wales stormed into a 27-0 lead as the young scots struggles to adapt to the pace and intensity of international rugby. Scoring just before half time we then came back to score another three tries to narrowly lose 27-26 with Angus scoring our third try.
The future of anniesland rugby looks bright with Scott Cummings, Andrew Davidson and Jack Solman of Kelvinside and Hawks also involved.
Today Angus leads us out against England South, (England A), in what will be another test of character for our young players.
