Appointment of new sheriffs

On 20 March 2013 Her Majesty the Queen appointed Mr Paul Vincent Crozier, Solicitor Advocate as a resident sheriff of Glasgow and Strathkelvin based at Glasgow and Ms Susan Craig, Solicitor Advocate as a floating sheriff of Lothian and Borders based at Livingston.
First Minister Alex Salmond nominated Mr Crozier and Ms Craig for appointment on the basis of a report by the independent Judicial Appointments Board.
Mr Crozier will take up appointment on 08 April 2013 and Ms Craig on 16 April 2013.
Paul Crozier
Paul Crozier graduated from Strathclyde University in 1983 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1985. In 1987, he set up practice in Dumbarton. From 1993 to 1998 he sat as a Relief Stipendiary Magistrate . In 1998 he was appointed lecturer in criminal procedure in the Diploma in Legal Practice at Strathclyde University. In 2002 he became a Solicitor Advocate. He was appointed as a part-time Sheriff in 2009 and is a Shrieval Convenor of Mental Health Tribunals. He is Chairman of the Championship Committee of the Scottish Rugby Union.
