The New Firm Couper & Reid

The Accies have appointed Chris Reid as assistant backs coach to support new head coach John Couper

Like John Chris has also coached at Hawks and has an impressive Accie family history
Grandfather Andrew Dykes was one of the dynasty that played at Old and New ANNIESLAND being part of the team that won the Scottish Championship three times in row. It took 80 years until 2006 for another side from Glasgow to repeat the hatrick with Hawks emulating the achievement
Andrew played in the historic match at Old ANNIESLAND when Glasgow played the Waratahs who were representing Australia(Queensland was bust after WW1 Gallipoli had taken its toll off the pitch as well as on)
He was also capped at full back for Scotland

Good luck to both Accies and GHK(under Liam McIntyre) for the upcoming season
