Glasgow Hawks Rugby Club Canniesburn Care Home

End of a long and hard shift

Hawks team manager Scott Inglis is standing down after fifteen years
During that time Scott has served in various capacities and saw League and Cup triumphs together with tours to South Africa France and Italy
This journey like all journeys in sport has had its ups and downs but that is the nature of being a part of a Club and one of his proudest moments was when he was awarded The Spirit of Rugby Award by the "Hearts and Balls Charity " .
Thanks Scottie for all your efforts many unseen and mostly unsung

Scott takes up the story;

It is with great reluctance that I have decided to step down as 1st XV Team Manager.

A change in work commitments means I will not be able to give the time and effort needed
to ensure the back up needed on our return to Premier Rugby.

After fifteen years with Hawks, this was not an easy decision.

I have been very lucky to have been involved with some great players and coaches and I have made many friends.

League and Cup wins were especially memorable as were my six years coaching the 2nd XV and the games in South Africa and in Paris.

I will see you all again as I will be down to support.

Many thanks to all who have supported me through the years and good luck to all for the coming season.
