Coach Jamie Dempsey Comments on selection:
Selection for our opening game in the RBS Premiership has been challenging with the squad being highly competitive and pushing each other hard in training. First XV League debuts are in line for Ross McLymont, Mateusz Bartoszek, Brendan Cullinane, Craig Brodie and Jack Steele. We are pleased to have Finlay Gillies released from Glasgow Warriors and hope to provide him with a suitable platform to challenge for selection with them in the coming weeks.

This is a big step up for Hawks travelling to Edinburgh Accies who will be starting this season confidently after another strong performance last year. We will relish the challenge and hope to perform well in what will be a tough away encounter. First matches of the season will always be challenging and the team who can compose themselves best while physically pressurising their opponents will come out on top.
