S1 had their first run out of the season against Stirling County on Sunday at Balgray and took the opportunity to play three short training games to give the squad a 35 a chance to get some game time. Against a strong and well drilled Stirling County team the boys put up a great performance and whilst County ran out the winners overall they can take great credit in keeping it close and playing with great spirit.
S2 welcomed their counterparts from Stirling to OA and ran out convincing 43-7 winners, scoring 12 tries (7 converted) to 2. Some good running rugby on show although we did lose our shape a bit in the middle section of the game against a very well drilled County team. A promising start to the season however and lots to look forward to.
Please note scheduled game against Livingston is now cancelled as they cannot raise a team, so training for all S1 and S2 players at Old Anniesland this Sunday.
