Glasgow Hawks S2,24-Ayr,3
In our final competitive match of the year we recorded our second victory of the year against Ayr.Back in October we travelled to Ayr and won 32-0.Since then Ayr have won the Soth West Championship.Today we ran in 7 tries.This despite the fact that a number of our players were unavailable for selection.Because of that the forwards did not have their usual control and superiority however the backs worked well and ran in a number of fine tries.
The squad record this year is impressive, the only blot being the defeat in the semi final of the Glasgow Districts by 1 try.We have beaten Stirling County 35-0,Ayr 32-0 and
24-3,Gala Red Triangle 37-3,Greenock 41-0,Hawick Albion 9-4,West of Scotland 31-0 and GHA 22-3.
8 full matches played and all won.We have beaten the Glasgow District,South West District and Borders District champions only conceding 4 tries in the process.
If that doesnt tell you that there is something wrong with the qualification procedure for the Scottish Championships nothing will!
Final training takes place on Sunday 18th at Anniesland start time 12:30.Please make sure all players are in attendance(even the walking wounded) as we want to finish the year as a unit.
