GHK update

Saturday 19 October - Another Big Day at OA

This Saturday, GHK's 1st XV take on Helensburgh in the first of a hugely important three week run of games that sees them play the team currently holding down the second top position in West Division One, Helensburgh, followed by an away fixture at fourth placed Irvine, with the tantalising prospect of a repeat of last year's Shield tie against our neighbours and oldest rivals, Glasgow Accies back at OA to complete the run in a game which will also see the teams play for the David Gilmore Trophy, named after the former GHK and Glasgow player.

Clearly, the results of the first two of these three games will go a long way to determining the success of GHK's challenge for the league championship whilst the victors of the shield match will advance to the regional semi final and be just three games away from Murrayfield!

As always, support would be greatly appreciated by the GHK team for all these games. Numbers have been increasing on the touch lines with good numbers both home and away.

Full details of the arrangements for the Accies game will be posted in due course but, in the meantime, get yourself out to OA on Saturday and put down a marker for a wee trip down the coast (morning golf, perhaps?) on Saturday 26th October.
