Our thanks to Ali Maclay for organising the annual Christmas night
out. I was privileged to be asked on this magical Yuletide journey
from Oran Mor to the Millenium Platter and can pass on memories of
the first part of the evening. Buoyed by a hard fought win against Ayr
[and for the 2nd xv a hammering of Heriots including 2 50 metre drop
goals from Mike Rainey and Andy McPhail] the players set to drinking
the West End dry with a vengeance.
