Bill Dunlop was not seen prowling the touchlines of Millbrae last Sataurday because he was on Heineken Cup duty
The Herald reports
Gavin Henson has been told he runs the risk of missing the launch of Wales\' defence of the Six Nations crown. The player was at the centre of violent-conduct claims after the Ospreys\' Heineken Cup defeat against Leicester Tigers at Swansea, writes David Kelso.
Bill Dunlop, the Scot who was the tournament disciplinary official at the match, has confirmed having watched video evidence that Henson has been cited.
Henson is alleged to have elbowed Alex Moreno in an off-the-ball scuffle, apparently not spotted by referee Alain Rolland or the touch-judges.
Moreno was left with blood streaming down his face, and as he fell, Henson looked to aim a kick at him which missed.
Home fans insisted Moreno had started the trouble by felling Henson with a swinging-arm challenge.
If guilty, Henson is likely to be sidelined by suspension when Wales open their account against England at Twickenham in February.
Michael Lynagh, the tele-vision pundit and a former leading player with Australia, said he believed Henson was \"in a lot of trouble\".
He stated: \"If you look at it, there is some intent there and it doesn\'t look good.\"
Dunlop went on to say that Ian Evans, the Ospreys lock, is in trouble for a challenge that left England scrum-half Harry Ellis facing a lengthy lay-off with a knee injury. Pat Howard, the Tigers coach, said, \"Harry has copped a serious injury because of an incident, and it appears he will be unavailable for some time.
\"He has suffered some ligament damage to a knee but, hopefully, the scans over the next 48 hours will reveal it is not too bad.\"
