The Community Rugby Coach Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring that coaches and players working and playing in the community game receive the correct levels of support to enable them to achieve their potential, including the identification of future potential High Performance Coaches and High Performance Players. To achieve this, the Community Rugby Coach Development Manager will manage and lead the work of the UKCC Manager and the Performance Development Managers in the strategic planning, writing, co-ordination and roll out of a UKCC Coach Education programme and Scottish Rugby's Long Term Player Development model and rugby curriculum.

Working within the designated Regional Sports Partnership, the Regional Development Manager ( Rugby) will be responsible for the overall strategic planning, co-ordination and implementation of the national rugby development strategy in their specified region.
The post will be responsible for growing all aspects of rugby, through clubs, across a designated region. This will be achieved through working closely with and developing strong partnerships with, Local Authorities, sports partnership groups, club and school volunteers and other key stakeholders.

Main Purpose of job
The UKCC Development Manager will be responsible for the implementation of UKCC coach development programmes within the community game. The UKCC Development Manager will assist the Coach Development Manager in the writing, implementation and monitoring of the national rugby curriculum based on LTPD principles.
The UKCC Manager will also spend approximately 20 % of their time working in conjunction with sportscotland personnel to support the UKCC implementation roll out in other sports.
