Last night BBC 2 Scotland ran an excellent piece on Scotland's 1984 Grand Slam narrated by one of the participants John Beattie
It was special to see rare footage of two ANNIESLAND legends Herbert Waddell and Jimmie Ireland as the narrator tried to put the achievement in perspective
Both became presidents of the SRU Herbert also became president of the Barbarians and the stand at Old Anniesland is named after Jimmie
