With this Saturday's League match at Goldenacre between Hawks and Heriots there will be quite a build up of interest fueled by HERIOTS "fill the ground iniative,"however it is unlikely that the crowd will exceed the attendance of 10,000 that turned up at New Anniesland for the Glasgow Accies match aginst Heriots in Season 1922-23,with special trains being run from Edinburgh. On this occasion Accies played in maroon to avoid a clash of colours
The interest in this fixture during that era was so great that when the match was played in Edinburgh in 1925 the game was switched from Goldenacre to Inverleith to accomodate the anticipated 18,000 who wished to attend
