Former Glasgow Hawk and Glasgow Warriors tight-head prop George Hunter has joined London Scottish on loan until the end of the season.George Hunter

The 22-year-old, who is a Scottish Rugby Elite Development player attached to the Warriors, made his Heineken Cup debut for the club away to Castres Olympique in December 2012 and has to date made three appearances for the RaboDirect PRO12 side.

George has spent most of this season playing for Ayr in the RBS Premiership.

Glasgow Warriors Elite Development coach Iain Monaghan said: "George went down to London Scottish earlier in the season but had to come back up earlier than planned, so it's great that he's got the opportunity to go back.

"He's performed really well with Ayr in the league and in the B&I Cup, where he has been developing and improving with them.

"London Scottish could have up to 10 games remaining this season, so this is a good opportunity for him to continue his development and get some really good experience in the English Championship."
