Both S1 and S2 were grateful to Stirling County for the late invitation to play some triangular fixtures at Bridgehaugh this afternoon on a lovely day for rugby (at last!).
Our S1s played against West of Scotland and Stirling. In the match against our near neighbours from Burnbrae Hawks won by 4 tries to 2 against a team who have shown great form this season. Against the hosts the boys played well but went down 4 tries to nil to a very well drilled unit.
S2 played fixtures against Oshawa Vikings from Ontario, who are over on a tour of the UK, and Stirling County. In game one against the tourists Hawks scored 5 tries (4 converted)to win 22-0. Against the hosts the boys ran in 7 tries to 2 to end up 26-7 winners.
Some really terrific rugby on show today from all teams present and we are grateful to Stuart Keys and his team at SCRFC for their warm hospitality.
Finally best wishes to the Oshawa Vikings as they continue their tour down to Bristol for more games there.
