Loch Lomond v GHK Match Preview
This Saturday sees GHK's untarnished record again under threat with a very tough fixture at Bonhill against Loch Lomond. 7th hosts 2nd in a game that has always been very tightly contested.
The hosts lie 7th in the league on the back of a very good win against Strathendrick last weekend. The reverse fixture back in October saw GHK run up a 50 point total in a comfortable win, however Loch Lomond went out on a high scoring the last 2 tries of that game. The Lomond pitch is considerably smaller than that at Old Anniesland and this will suit the home team's game much more than the visitors.
GHK then have a 10 out of 10 record but face one of their toughest trips of the season. Indeed the last time GHK visited here a couple of seasons ago they scraped a bonus point win. The visitors lie 2nd in the league now 5 points behind Marr after the Troon team's failure to pick up a bonus in Oban in a very narrow win, another tough trip that the Old Anniesland troops have to look forward to.
Squad News
The backs starting line up has still to be confirmed, however the only change is Little dropping and Ali Smeaton replacing him in the squad. In the pack there are 2 changes in the starting 8. Ryan Welsh returns to prop after his winter shutdown and Scott Ferguson replaces Single in the middle row. On the bench Murray Wiseman returns to GHK colours in McLemon's place.
