Following the thrilling win against Bourgoin on Sunday, the Warriors travel from Firhill along Great Western Road to Old Anniesland this week to take on Neath Swansea Ospreys on Friday night (7.30pm).

As it may be a new venue for some people, we’ve included directions (below) and public transport information to help you get along to the ground.

GROUND ACCESS: Turnstiles open at 6.30pm and the match kicks off at 7.30pm. Pedestrian access to the ground is via Crow Road near the main
Glasgow High School doors or via the driveway off Anniesland Road.

TICKETS: Tickets for the main stand are now sold out so only ground-access tickets are available either before the game by visiting www.scottishrugby.org or by calling 0131 346 5100 or at the two ticket booths (one at the main Crow Road school entrance and one at the end of the driveway) at the ground on the night of the game priced £12 for adults, £5 for U18s/students/OAPs and free for children under five years old.

All Gold season ticket holders and Silver ‘family stand’ season ticket holders will be accommodated in the main stand.

AS WELL AS THE RUGBY…There’ll be prizes and entertainment galore with fireworks and a youth rugby match at half-time. Some of the goodies on offer for those who buy a ‘lucky’ programme are: a stay at a Marriott hotel, a Visit Scotland city pack, a case of Highland Spring, a case of Budweiser and a signed Warriors shirt to name but a few prizes. So make sure you get your match programme on arrival to be in with a chance of picking up some of those prizes.

AND FINALLY…Before the game on Friday, make sure you cast your votes for the McCrea Financial Services Warrior of the Month for both December and January and the winners will be presented after Friday’s match.

FROM THE CITY CENTRE BY CAR:
There are two main options for travelling to Old Anniesland from the city centre by car.

Option 1: Take the Clydeside Expressway past the SECC on your left (HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE THAT ON THE NIGHT OF OUR GAME, FRIDAY 27 JAN, LITTLE BRITAIN LIVE IS ON AT THE CLYDE AUDITORIUM (SECC) ALSO STARTING AT 7.30 SO THAT MAY CAUSE TRAFFIC DELAYS ON THE EXPRESSWAY) and carry on until the road splits into two. You should take the outside (right hand) lane signposted for The North, Aberfoyle and Anniesland Cross. This slip road joins up with another main road which you should follow on the inside lane for a mile or so through three sets of traffic lights and underneath the bright orange Strathclyde Transport bridge for Jordanhill train station. Carry on this road as you pass by Glasgow High School on your left hand side and take the next road on your left signposted for Yoker which will take you past the school playing fields at Old Anniesland. The entrance to the ground is the first on your left, but as access to the ground and parking is exceptionally limited, you are encouraged to find on street parking in the area.

Option 2: Take Great Western Road heading west and pass the Warriors old ground at Hughenden and Gartnavel hospital on your left. Carry straight on along Great Western Road until you reach Anniesland Cross where you should be in the second lane in from the left as you are taking the road signposted for Clydebank (using ‘clock face’ terminology, you heading in an ‘eleven o’clock’ direction as opposed to an immediate right turn/’nine o’clock direction’.) This road will take you past the school playing fields at Old Anniesland. The entrance to the ground is the first on your left but as access to the ground and parking is exceptionally limited, you are encouraged to find on street parking in the area

FROM THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CITY & THE SOUTH/WEST BY CAR:
Take the Clyde Tunnel to the north side of the Clyde and carry on along the main road out of the tunnel for around a mile through three sets of traffic lights and underneath the bright orange Strathclyde Transport bridge for Jordanhill train station. Carry on this road as you pass by Glasgow High School on your left hand side and take the next road on your left signposted for Yoker which will take you past the school playing fields at Old Anniesland. The entrance to the ground is the first on your left, but as access to the ground and parking is exceptionally limited, you are encouraged to find on street parking in the area.

FROM THE EAST & NORTH BY CAR:
From the M8, take either junction 16 (Stow College) signposted for Dumbarton and join Great Western Road then follow instructions for Option 2(above).
Or
Stay on the M8 until the next slip road, signposted for Clydebank and the SECC and then turn right onto the Clydeside Expressway. Then follow instructions for option 1 (above).

FROM THE CITY CENTRE BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:

Bus routes which go past the ground are: 16/16A, 66, 20/20A.

Train stations: Both Anniesland train station and Jordanhill train station are within 10 minutes walking distance to the ground.

Pedestrian access: There are two points of access to the ground: one from Crow Road (at the main Glasgow High School entrance, and the other from Anniesland Road along the driveway at the side of the playing fields.
