Glasgow Hawks could become the third club in Scottish rugby history to win the league championship three seasons in succession if events go their way tomorrow.
Hawks would join two borders clubs, Hawick and Melrose, should they accomplish such an achievement.
Hawick won the championship five seasons in a row between 1973/74 and 1977/78 and four seasons in a row between 1983/84 and 1986/87 along with Melrose who won the championship three times between 1991/92 and 1993/94.
Hawks will need to defeat Biggar at Old Anniesland (kick-off 3pm) and record a bonus point and will rely on current BT Cup champions Boroughmuir to beat Watsonians at Myreside and keep a bonus point out of reach of the home side.
If Hawick come up with a win against Ayr at Millbrae, then the borders outfit will stay in contention and the trophy will be kept safe for another week.
Scottish Rugby Union president Andy Irvine will be on hand at Old Anniesland with Head of Communications BT Scotland Alan Bonas to present the trophy should Hawks clinch the title.
