I'm just writing to ask if anyone would be interested in running the Edinburgh marathon team relay event. This entails a team of 5 running the distance of a marathon, 26.2miles, evenly between them. I'm already entering a team of Hawks players and I was wondering if a 2nd or even 3rd team would want to get involved. I have a couple of names down already. The more the merrier!! It will cost you £22 to enter that is £110 per team.
However, the team I have first entered is going to be running for Maggies Cancer Care centres who are a rapidly expanding charity, originating from Scotland and now spreading south into the rest of the UK. Maggie's Centres are for anybody who has, or who has had cancer, something which touches most peoples lives in some way, shape or form. They are also for their families, their friends and their carers.The aim of Maggie's Centres is to help people with cancer to be as healthy in mind and body as possible and enable them to make their own contribution to their medical treatment and recovery.
