Young Scots crushed at the Stoop
GARY HEATLY
SCOTLAND Under-19 were overpowered 36-5 by their English counterparts at the Twickenham Stoop last night
Danny Care and Andrew Saull both scored two tries as England's teenage stars impressed with some sharp finishing. Leeds Tykes scrum-half Care and Saracens flanker Saull both struck in the first half as their side built up an impressive lead under the astute direction of Wasps and Whitgift playmaker Danny Cipriani.
They didn't manage to run riot in the second-half but Leicester wing Oliver Dodge - son of former England centre Paul - claimed a well-taken try and Cipriani stroked over a fourth conversion to add to his first-half penalty.
Scotland fought back with the last move of the match to register their only score when they overloaded England on the left for Edinburgh wing David McCall to slide over.
