SKY SPORTS FOLLOW SCOTS TO DUBAI


Sky Sports have announced that they will televise the IRB under 19 World Championship in Dubai this year having signed a record broadcast deal for the tournament.

Scotland’s pool match against Wales on Sunday 9 April will be broadcast live and highlights of their other pool games against Australia and Japan will be shown.

Sky Sports executive producer for rugby union, Martin Turner said: “This is a fabulous tournament and the breeding ground of some of the biggest stars in rugby union.”

Scotland u19 head coach Peter Wright added: “It is great that such a household name as Sky has chosen to cover this prestigious event.

“Sky’s coverage will provide supporters in Scotland with an opportunity to see the countries finest rugby talent in action against Wales.”

Wednesday 5 April
South Africa v France (kick-off 6pm local time)
Ireland v England (kick-off 8pm local time)

Sunday 9 April
Ireland v France (kick-off 6pm local time)
Scotland v Wales (kick-off 8pm local time)

Thursday 13 April
New Zealand v Australia (kick-off 6pm local time)
South Africa v England (kick-off 8pm local time)

Monday 17 April - Semi Finals Day
Semi final 1 (kick-off 6pm local time)
Semi final 2 (kick-off 8pm local time)

Friday 21 April - Finals Day
Runners up Final (kick-off 6pm local time)
World Championship Final (kick-off 8pm local time)
