Anniesland Race Meeting

Good afternoon all,

I am writing to bring to your attention the last great GHK fundraising drive of season 2005/2006.

We are running a race night, from the Pavilion in Old Anniesland on Friday 31st March 2006. Firstly, you are all of course invited along on the evening, which should be the usual blend of good company and better booze with the added twist of a little gambling mayhem! But secondly, and more importantly at this stage, you can help make the evening a success in advance, whether you can make it or not!

For those of you who are available on the night and may wish to bring a group of friends, colleagues or acquaintances along for VIP treatment, you can sponsor a race. You will have a reserved table for 8 people in prime location to watch the races, where you can sit and enjoy a bottle of champagne to get you started before you break open your crate of beer. Your company will be the named sponsor of the race, published on all race cards, betting slips and advertising of the evening. This will cost you or your company a measly £250. Four of the eight tables have already sold, so be quick to secure your track-side seats!

If sponsoring a race is a little to much for you, or if you can't make it along on the evening, you can sponsor a horse. We will provide you with your horse's name prior to the event, and if it bounds home to victory you will collect a lovely bottle of champagne. This will cost you the paltry sum of £10.

For those of you who would rather take your chances with the bookies, entry on the evening will be only £2, the bars will be open and the betting shops will be happy to take your money off you.
