ROSS STARTS IN DUBAI

SCOTS ANNOUNCE TEAM FOR DUBAI OPENER

Scotland under 19 head coach Peter Wright has selected his team to play Australia in the first pool game of the IRB U19 World Championship in Dubai.

The team have been in the heat for over a week and are responding well to acclimatisation in temperatures of up to 32°C.

Australia are seeded third for the tournament, seven places above the Scots, but head coach Wright is optimistic having completed a week of preparation: “Coming out early has definitely benefited the boys who have been working really hard this week to get used to playing in the heat.

“We are all just biting at the bit now; the game can’t come sooner for us.”

Following the game against Australia, Scotland will play Wales on Sunday 9 April (kick-off 8pm local time, 5pm BST) and Japan on Thursday 13 April (kick-off 6pm local time, 3pm BST).

Follow the team on www.scottishrugby.org where you will find information about the team and details of their progress.
