CROCK SHOCK WON'T SCUPPER ERIC CAP HUNT

THE DAILY RECORD REPORTS
By Roddy Duncan
ERIC MILLIGAN is as desperate as ever to make his Scotland breakthrough despite being sidelined until the end of the season with a broken finger suffered in training.

The prop, who signed as a full-time pro for Glasgow less than two months ago, was chasing a place in the Warriors first-choice line-up in their crucial remaining Celtic League games.

Now he has set his sights on squeezing into Steve Bates's international A squad who will compete in the Churchill Cup in Canada in June.

Meanwhile, Milligan's former club, Glasgow Hawks, are ready to snap up Bob McKillop from Stirling County as their new forwards coach.

County have been relegated to Premiership Division Two but McKillop wants to stay in the top flight to boost his chances of continued involvement with Scotland's amateur international set-up.

Hawks, BT champions for the third year on the trot, see him as a ready-made replacement for player-coach Marc Sitch, who is stepping down.
